There are some excellent cold soups.

Or rather, there are some cold soups which will become excellent once the weather improves.

Left Thailand 5/6 years ago. Pottered around a bit then came to Oman.

Was meant to stay 12 months, been here 3 years and there's at least 3 years more work waiting (for me) to do on the 2 current projects.

I watched The Hairy Bikers in Thailand yesterday , really fancy going there now. Food looks fantastic.

South Korea fare looks pretty good as well.

defjam 2:07 Sun Mar 29; 3 years in a dry Islamic nation has strange effects on the best of us...

...I should be in East London right now, supping ale, preparing to pop over to the Hague next week for a wedding.

Re: Space Station
I could sit out on my balcony and stare up at space for hours. Fortunately, being so close to the mountains behind the city, light pollution is very low and the skies rarely occluded by clouds.

All that's missing is a few beers...

Re: Space Station
If you're going to call it 'the' Earth then really you should call the others 'the' Jupiter, 'the' Mars' and so on. Otherwise it's home advantage at best and outright discrimination at worst.
